Best Ontario Sommelier Competition: Meet the finalists By CARMELO GIARDINA November 11, 2024 The Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS) Ontario has revealed the finalists for the highly anticipated Best Ontario Sommelier Competition (BOSC), a showcase of the province’s most distinguished sommelier talent. Originally scheduled for November 2024, the event will now take place on January 28, 2025 at the Bovine Wine Club in downtown Toronto’s Union Station. Comité Champagne has appointed Quebec-based company Lamoureux & Co as its official representative for the Canadian market. The office will be led by Claudie Lamoureux, who will be supported by Amanda Johnson, who is based in Toronto. Together, they will oversee the Canadian market, providing coverage from coast to coast. Established over 80 years ago, the Comité Champagne brings together all players in the Champagne industry, including 16,200 winegrowers, 130 cooperatives, and 370 Champagne houses.
